ABOUT STUDENT COUNCIL & STUDENT GOVERNMENT
The FLS Student Government is a multi-focused association. The goal is to develop leadership skills in our students, and work toward bettering our school and our community. The student council creates bridges between school and community, promoting outreach programs throughout the year. The Student Council completes at least one service project and one large fundraiser each semester. This is our first year for a student government, and we are very excited about the projects that are in the works.

The Council members are student examples, leading through actions and deeds. Each member must maintain good grades and appropriate behavior to serve on the Council. Officers must be in grades sixth, seventh, or eighth, but the Council represents the entire school. All students are welcome to participate in projects, school activities, and outreach programs sponsored by the Council. The Council meets each Thursday during lunch, and occasionally, after school meetings are held.
